A Poet Has Broken Into Olympus.

He came seeking an answer. Was he crazy? Was he wrong? Or was he right all along?

Before the First Myth

The gods stare at the stranger. He doesn’t speak. They whisper.

Then Zeus says: “Speak.”

The Five Stages

I

Denial

He tells himself it isn't real. Not yet.

II

Anger

The question turns sharp. Someone has to be at fault.

III

Bargaining

If he says it differently, maybe it undoes itself.

IV

Depression

The silence after the argument stops being useful.

V

Acceptance

Not peace. Just the willingness to ask the question out loud.

The Myths

The poems of The Myth of Us are called Myths. Each Myth is another fragment of the poet’s testimony. Some tell you what happened. Others hide it.
